19. Charles Neville Lundie
MR. C. LUNDIE .
The death occurred at his home in Ellenden Street, Bungendore, on Monday afternoon of Mr Charles Lundie aged 86 years. Born at Braidwood, the late Mr. Lundie had lived with his late wife and family for fifty years in Bungendore, where he carried on a butchery business. Greatly respected throughout the whole distict, a man of quiet nature, upright in all his dealings, and kindly in his ways; the late Mr. Lundie truly belonged to the good old school of the pioneers who have helped to make our country what it is to-day. Aided in every way by his late wife, Mr Lundie's home was always noted for its hospitality. The funeral took place in the Church of England Cemetery on Tuesday afternoon and was largely attended. Mr. Lundle is survived by two sons, Messrs. Reg Lundie, of Sydney, and Roy Lundie (Bungendore). His daughter, the late Mrs. Lloyd Beck, predeceased him by a year, and his wife, six years ago. Three sisters, Mesdames Church, Goldie and Kingston, and one brother, who is in (New Zealand) also survive. Rev. Leicester Johnson performed the funeral rites.
