Struck By Mechanical Hare
A man who was injured when a mechanical hare struck him was awarded £400 damages at Maitland District Court yesterday. He was Edgar Leonard Priest, steelworker, of Burner's Esplanade, East Corrimal. The mechanical hare struck Priest when he went to get his dog after it had raced at the Maitland greyhound meeting on January 1. Priest claimed 400 pound damage from the members of the Greyhound Racing Committee.
