OBITUARY
MRS. GUNSON MANNERS
The death occurred at her home, 35 Park Road Spring wood, on Thursday last, of Mrs. Clara Manners, wife ot Mr. Gunson (Gus) Manners, both old-time rssidents of Canley Vale, but more recently of Lith gow and Springwood, at the age of 68 years. Deceased will be remembered by many as Miss Clara Rope, a teacher at Canley Vale School about 1913 - 1914, and who resided at that time with the Walcot family in Sackville Street. After her marriage to Mr. Gus Manners a member of a very old district family a move was made to Lithgow, where Gus had acquired mining and commercial interests. The late Mrs. Manners, in addition to her husband, leaves two daughters, Joyce Mrs. R. Crook) and Dorothy (Mrs. J. Kartell) to mourn her loss. After service at St. Alban's Church of England, Lindfield, on Monday last, 18th inst., the reĀ» mains were created at Northern Suburbs Crematorium.Source: The Biz 20 Oct 1954
