ANDERSON, Alexander - Cpl, Royal Marines. Returned to England on the Gorgon.

ANSTIS, Nicholas - First Mate. Charles Bateson commented in his book that Anstis purposely starved the convicts on the trip.  Anstis returned to England.

BALL, Thomas - Third mate, Royal Navy. Left the colony when the Lady Penrhyn sailed for China.

BENTLEY, Joshua - Seaman. Son Joshua born at sea - child of Mary Bolton. 

BOWES-SMYTH, Arthur - Surgeon. 1750 Essex - 1790 Essex. Parents: Thomas and Mary Smyth. Left the colony in 1788.

BRAMWELL, Thomas - Pte, Royal Marines. 1753-1815 Parramatta.

CAMPBELL, James - Captain, Royal Marines. Died 1795 England. Whilst in Sydney he was lost in the bush at Rose Bay, for three days.

CAMPBELL, James Duncan - b1775. Relative of Captain Campbell. Returned to England.

CLAY, Charles - Seaman. 1756 Scotland - 1788 Batavia. Contracted scurvy before reaching Batavia.

CLAYFIELD, William - Sgt, Royal Marines. Accompanied by his wife Rachel. Both returned to England.

CLEMENTS, Henry - Pte, Royal Marines. 1761 Warwick - 1798 Sydney.  Parents: Thomas and Hannah. Occ: Cordwainer/Marine/Soldier.Buried as CLEMMONS.

COLETHREAD/COULTHREAD, John - Pte, Royal Marines. 18761 Carlisle 1802 Sydney. Parents: John and Sarah.  Accompanied by his son, James  1782 England - 1789 Port Jackson. John cohabited with Ann Colpitts , a convict on the same ship. Their child, John, died.  Married Elizabeth Catherine Mooney in 1793 at Parramatta. Child with John: Gracie b1798.

COLLINS, William - Second Lieut., Royal Marines. 1765 Devon - 1842 Devon. Parents: Arthur Tooker Collins and Henrietta Caroline Fraser. Married Elizabeth Nickleson Jeffrey in 1799 in England. William's brother David held the position of Judge advocate of the colony. Returned to England after contracting dysentery.

CURTIS, William - Seaman and Quartermaster. Cohabited with Mary Branham. Mary arrive on the same ship, as a convict. Remained on the ship when it left the colony.

DAWSON, Richard - Ship's boy.  Returned to England suffering from ulcerated legs due to scurvy.

DEASE/DEAN/, Edward - Seaman. Cohabited with Mary Jackson who arrived as a convict on the Lady Penrhyn. Edward left the colony.

DOWNEY, Joseph - Quartermaster. Cohabited with convict, Sarah Bellamy who arrived on the same ship. Children James B 1790, Robert B 1795, George B 1796, Elizabeth b1802 (all Bellamy)

DUNCAN, Davis - Ship's boy.  Stayed on the ship when it sailed for China.

EVANS, Humphrey - Pte, Royal Marines. . Married Mary Dykes (Lady Penrhyn) in 1793 in Sydney. Humphrey died 1805 Seven Hills by a falling tree.

FISHER, John - Seaman. 1770-1788 Port Jackson. Cohabited with Catherine Hart (Lady Penryhn). John died from a chill, caught from swimming ashore to be with her.

GUNN, George - Pte, Royal Marines. b1747 Scotland. Returned to England on the Dromedary.

HALLAM, William - Pte, Royal Marines. Enlisted in the NSW Corps.

HASWELL, Thomas - Pte, Royal Marines. Returned to England.

JACKSON, Thomas - Pte, Royal Marines. Accompanied by wife Agnes Jackson. Both returned to England.

JOHNSTON, George - 1st Lieut., Royal Marines. 1764 Scotland - 1824 Annandale. Parents: David and Isabel Mackie.

McCANN, Jospeh -  Pte, Royal Marines.  Returned to England on the Atlantic.

MITCHELL, William - Pte, Royal Marines.  Cohabited with Jane Fitzgerald, a convict who arrived on the Charlotte. Their son William returned to England with his father.

ROSS, John Alexander - Lieut, Royal Marines. 1779 Scotland - 1800 England. A volunteer marine and son of Major Ross.  Returned to England with his father.

ROSSER, Henry - Pte, Royal Marines.  Died in Sydney in 1793. 

SCRIVEN/SKIRVING, Phillip - Cohabited with Jane Langley who arrived as a convict on the Lady Penrhyn. 

SEVER, William Cropton - Ship's Master. 1761-1817.  Also part owner of the Lady Penrhyn. Cohabited with Ann Green (nee Cowley) who arrived on the Lady Penrhyn as a convict. 

SISSON - Ship's Cook. Returned to England.

SMITH, James - came free - the first immigrant to Australia. Returned on the Gorgon to England.

ALLEN, Mary - 1764 London - 1843 Goulburn. Convicted of stealing a watch and money at the Old Bailey in 1786.Cohabited with Frederick Meredith who arrived on Scarborough 1788 as a ships steward. Cohabited with Edward Pails from 1791. Edward arrived as a convict on the Surprise in 1790.  Children: Mary 1794 and Ann 1798. Cohabited with John Martin.

ALLEN, Mary - 1758-London - 1821 Hobart. Occ: Hawker. Convicted at the Old Bailey in 1787 of assault and theft.  Married James Proctor in 1791 on Norfolk Island.  James arrived on the Sirius in 1788 as a quarter gunner. Married William Atkins in 1810 in Tasmania.

ALLEN, Tamasin - 1754 London - 1825 Sydney Benevolent Society. Convicted of felonious assault and theft of money and jewels at Old Bailey in 1786. Married 1791 on Norfolk Island to William Simms, a private in the Royal Marines, who arrived on HMS Supply in 1788.

ANDERSON, Elizabeth - Convicted at the Old Bailey in 1787 of theft. Married Robert Webb in 1791 at Parramatta. Robert was a seaman who arrived on the 'Sirius'.

ANDERSON, Frances (Fanny)- b1758 Ireland. Convicted  at Winchester in 1786 of theft. Married Simon Burn in 1788 at St Phillips, Sydney. Simon arrived as a convict on the Friendship.  Married John Hamilton in 1795 at Parramatta.

BAKER, Martha - Convicted in 1786 at the Old Bailey of assault and steal. Married Thomas Baker in England.  Married Walter (Watson) Batley in 1788 in Sydney- Walter was convict who arrived on the Friendship.  Cohabited with Samuel Mobbs, a convict who arrived on the Scarborough, from 1790.

BECKFORD, Elizabeth - 1710-1787 - died at sea, of dropsy. Convicted at the Old Bailey in 1787 of theft.

BIRD, Elizabeth - 1742 Kent - 1838 Parramatta. Convicted in 1786 at Maidstone for stealing a lamb. Cohabited with Thomas Eccles, a convict who arrived on the Scarborough.

BOLTON, Mary - Occupation: Nurse. Convicted of stealing clothing, in 1785 at Shrewsbury. Child Joshua Bentley born at sea and died 1790 Port Jackson. First child christened in the colony. Cohabited with Joshua Bentley, a seaman on the Lady Penrhyn. Cohabited with Samuel Day on Norfolk Island.  Samuel arrived on the Alexander, as a convict.

BRANHAM, Mary - Convicted in 1784 at the Old Bailey, of theft. Accompanied by her child, John, who was born in England. Cohabited with William Curtis, a seaman, on the Lady Penrhyn. Children: William C Branham 1788, Alicia C Branham 1791.

BRAUND/(BRAND ,Ivy),  Mary - Convicted of assault and theft in Exeter. Married William Bryant in 1788 at Sydney Cove.  Married Richard Thomas in 1807 in Cornwall.

BRUCE, Elizabeth - 1757-1835 Tasmania. Convicted of theft at the Old Bailey in 1787.  Married John Anderson in 1788 in Sydney Cove.  Cohabited with Francis Flexman on Norfolk Island. 

BUNN, Margaret - 1763-1829 Sydney. Convicted of assault and steal and the Old Bailey in 1786.Married Thomas McLean in 1788 in Sydney Cove.  Thomas arrived as a convict on the Alexander. Son James born 1802.

BURDO/BORDEAUX, Sarah - 1760-1834 Sydney. Convicted in 1786 a the Old Bailey of assault and theft.  Married Isaac Archer in 1794 in Sydney. Isaac was with the Royal Marines on the Alexander.

BURKITT(VALENTINE, Patience), Martha - Pickpocket, convicted 1786 at the Old Bailey.  Married James Davis in 1788 at Sydney Cove. James arrived as a convict on the Scarborough. Children: Mary 1791 and Thomas 1798.??????

COLE, Elizabeth - b1767 London. Occ: Milliner. Convicted in 1786 at the Old Bailey for theft of stockings.  Married Joseph Marshall in 1788 at Sydney Cove. Joseph arrived as a convict on the Scarborough.

COLLEY, Elizabeth - Convicted in 1784 at the Old Bailey for receiving stolen clothing. Cohabited with Thomas Jamison, who arrived as Surgeons First Mate on the Sirius.

COLPITTS (nee WISE), Ann -  1758 Durham - 1832 Kissing Point. Convicted at Durham in 1785 for theft of 12 handkerchiefs. Son Joseph Hatton (father Joseph).

COOKE, Charlotte (alias Sarah Harris) - 1766-1798 Parramatta. Convicted at the Old Bailey in 1787 for theft of clothing.

COOPER, Mary - Convicted in 1785 at Worcester for theft of clothing.

COUGHLAN, Mary - Convicted in London in 1786.

CREEK, Jane - Convicted in 1786 at the Old Bailey for theft of 35pounds of feathers and other goods. 

DALTON/BURLEY/BURLEIGH, Elizabeth - Convicted in 1785 of shoplifting at the Old Bailey. Married Thomas Arndell in 1807. Thomas arrived free on the Friendship. He abandoned two families in England. Children with Elizabeth: Elizabeth 1792, Mary Louisa 1793, Sarah 1796, Thomas 1799, James 1802, Frances 1808.

DAVIDSON/DAVISON, Rebecca - 1754-1805 Sydney.  Occ: Needle worker. Convicted in 1786 at the Old Bailey of stealing money. Married Robert Davidson in England. Married William Holmes in 1788 in Sydney. William arrived as a convict on the Scarborough. Married Thomas Prior in 1795 in Sydney. Thomas, a convict, also arrived on the Scarborough.

DAVIES, Sarah - 1760 Worcestershire -1794 Norfolk Island. Convicted at Worcester in 1783 for stealing 4 handkerchiefs. Married Thomas Restell Crowder in 1788 in Sydney. Thomas arrived as a convict on the Alexander.

DAVIS, Ann (alias Judith Jones) - 1759-1789 (hanged) Sydney.  Convicted at the Old Bailey in 1786 for theft of 8 pair of stockings. First woman to be executed in the colony. Stole clothing from the hut of Robert Sidaway.

DAVIS, Frances - 1764 Essex - 1828 Sydney.  Convicted at Chelmsford in 1786 for theft of 832 pound plus.  Married Martin Mintz  in Sydney in 1811.

DAVIS (aka BISHOP), Mary - b1761 in Salop, Shropshire - 1839 Kurrajong, buried St Peters, Richmond. Convicted in 1785 at Shrewsbury for break, enter and steal.  Married Samuel Day in 1788 at Sydney Cove. Samuel arrived on the Alexander as a convict.

DAWSON (alias Henderson), Margaret - Born Lancashire. Convicted at the Old Bailey in 1786 for theft of large quantity of money, jewellery and clothing. Cohabited with William Balmain, Assistant Surgeon on the Alexander. Children (all Dawson) Jane 1797, John W 1800 ??

DUTTON, Ann - 1763-1813 Tasmania. - Convicted at the Old Bailey in 1876 for stealing from a house.

DYKES/DIKES/DIX, Mary - 1758-1820 Parramatta. Convicted in 1786 at the Old Bailey of stealing 6 guineas from a publican.  Married Humphrey Evans in 1793 in Sydney. Humphrey arrived as a Private with the Royal Marines on the Lady Penrhyn. Married Hugh Kelly in 1808 at Parramatta. 

EATON (aka BEDDINGFIELD), Martha - 1762-1817 Sydney. Convicted in London in 1784 of receiving stolen goods.  Married Edward Jones in 1788 in Sydney.  Edward arrived as a convict on the Alexander. Children: Sarah 1794, John 1796, John 1798, Edward 1799.

EVANS, Elizabeth - 1760-1820 Sydney. Convicted at the Old Bailey in 1786 of stealing 3 pound of tea. Married Jones in England. Married James Vandercom in 1810 in Sydney. Daughter Jennifer Jones

FINN, Mary - 1759-1793. Convicted in 1785 at the Old Bailey of stealing money.  Cohabited with John Richardson, a convict who arrived on the Scarborough. Children: Elizabeth and Charlotte. John 1802 and James 1808???

FITZGERALD, Elizabeth - Convicted in 1786 at the Old Bailey for theft of a cotton gown.

FOWLES/BREEZE, Ann - 1764-1826 Sydney. Convicted at the Old Bailey in 1786 of theft. Accompanied by her daughter, Mary who was born in England in 1783. Mary was sent to Norfolk Island to separate mother and daughter. Cohabited with John Ruglass, who arrived as a convict on the Scarborough.  Married John Holt in 1801 at Parramatta.

FOWNES, Margaret - 1741 Shrewsbury - 1788 Sydney Cove. Convicted of assault and steal, in Shrewsbury in 1784.

GABEL, Mary - Convicted in 1784 of Grand Larceny at Southwark. Married James Price in 1791 on Norfolk Island. Cohabited with George Wilkinson.

GASCOIGNE, Olive - 1762 Worcester - 1830 Tasmania. Convicted at Worcester in 1785 for steal with force of arms. Cohabited with Nathaniel Lucas, who arrived on the Scarborough as a convict. Lucas Children: James b1798, George, 1800, Charles 1801, John 1806, Thomas 1807, Sarah 1805, Mary A 1805.

GEORGE, Ann - 1764-1814 Parramatta. Occ:  Shoe Binder. Convicted of stealing money, Old Bailey 1785. Cohabited with Archibald Andrew Lodwick, who arrived on the Charlotte as a seaman.  Cohabited with Augustus Theodore Henry Alt, who arrived on the Prince of Wales as part of Governor Phillip's staff. Children: William Lodwick 1788, Lucy Alt 1801, Henry Alt 1799.

GREEN (nee Cowley) , Ann - 1758 Isle of Man - 1820 Windsor. Convicted at the Old Bailey in 1786 for the theft of 19 plates. Cohabited William Sever, who arrived as Ship's Master on the Lady Penrhyn. Cohabited with Dennis Considen on Norfolk Island. Dennis (Assist. Surgeon on the Scarborough). Child: Constantine W b1793.  Married William Blady in 1793, at St Phillips Sydney.  William arrived as a convict on the Brittania in 1791.Children: Jane 1805, Thomas 1807.

GREENWOOD, Mary -1763-1837 Parramatta. Convicted in 1785 at the Old Bailey for  highway robbery and theft.  Married Richard Partridge in 1810 at Parramatta. Richard arrived as a convict on the Scarborough. Children: Richard 1793 and Mary 1797.

HALL, Elizabeth - 1767-1835 Liverpool Lunatic Asylum. Buried St Lukes, Liverpool.  Convicted at Newcastle Upon Tyne in 1786 of petty larceny. Cohabited with John Burn.

HALL  (aka HAMMOND), Sarah - 1740-1827 Hobart. Convicted at the Old Bailey in 1787 of theft of clothing.

HAMILTON, Maria - Occ: Lace Maker. Convicted in 1785 at the Old Bailey of theft.  Married William Thompson in 1788. William arrived as a convict on the Alexander.

HANDLYN (aka GRAY), Dorothy - Convicted in 1786 at the Old Bailey of Perjury.

HARRISON (nee Perrin), Mary - Occ: Silkwinder. Convicted in 1785 at the Old Bailey of assault with acid. Married Joseph Harrison in 1771, Stepney.  Married George Whittaker in 1788 in Sydney. George arrived on the Alexander as a convict.

HART, Catherine - Convicted in 1784 at the Old Bailey of theft of clothing. Cohabited with John Fisher, who arrived as a seaman on the Lady Penrhyn. Son John Fisher Hart was born of Prince of Wales in 1787. Father John Fisher - Seaman. Cohabited with Robert Kellow, who arrived as a Royal Marine on the Scarborough.

HARWOOD, Esther - 1751-1789 Sydney. Convicted at the Old Bailey in 1786 of stealing silver watch, keys and money(pickpocket). Married John Randall in 1788 in Sydney. John arrived as a convict on the Alexander.

HAYWARD, Elizabeth - 1773-1836 Tasmania. Occ: Apprentice clogmaker. Convicted at the Old Bailey in 1787 of theft of a gown and bonnet. Cohabited with William Nicholls and Joseph Lower, whilst on Norfolk Island.

HENRY, Catherine - b1750 Clerkenwell, parents: John Henry and Catherine Cort. Convicted at the Old Bailey in 1787 of theft of 3 shawls.  Married John Boyle in Sydney in 1788. John arrived on the Scarborough as a convict.

HILL, Mary - 1768-1798 Sydney.Convicted in 1786 at the Old Bailey of assault and steal and King's Highway. Married Dennis Connor in 1794 at St Phillips Sydney. Dennis arrived on the Nepturne in 1790, as a convict.

HIPPESLEY/HIPSLEY, Elizabeth - Occ: Needleworker. Convicted at the Old Bailey in 1785 of theft from a dwelling. Cohabited with Robert Stephens on Norfolk Island. Robert was a member of the Royal Marines who arrived on the Friendship. Elizabeth and Robert returned to England on the Dromedary.

HUFFNELL, Susannah - b1765c Worcester. Convicted at Worcester in 1786 of petty larceny. Cohabited with William Baker, who arrived as a Corporal in the Royal Marines on the Charlotte. Child Elizabeth b1789. Cohabited with Aaron Davis, who arrived as a convict on the Alexander.

HUMPHRIES, Mary - 1756-1810 Sydney. Nicknamed Hell Fire Moll. Convicted at the Old Bailey in 1783 of assault and steal on the King's highway. Married John King in 1790 at Port Jackson. John arrived on the Scarborough, as a convict.

INETT, Ann - b1756c Worcester. Convicted at Worcester in 1786 of break, enter and steal 1 petticoat with force of arms. Cohabited with Philip Gidley King, a member of the Royal Marines who arrived on the Sirius. Married Richard John Robinson in 1792 at Parramatta. Children: Sydney K Inett b1790.  Ann left the colony aboard the Admiral Cockburn.

IRVINE/IRVING/ANDERSON/LAW, John - 1760-1795 Parramatta. Convicted in Lincoln in 1784 of theft of a silver cup. Cohabited with Ann Marsh, who arrived as a convict on the Juliana.

JACKSON, Jane (alias Hester or Esther Roberts) - 1756-1804 Sydney. Convicted at the Old Bailey in 1785 of theft. Married in 1793 to Ferdinand Dowlan, in Sydney. Frederick arrived on the Scarborough as a convict.

JACKSON, Mary - Convicted in 1786 at the Old Bailey of theft of 6 shillings. Cohabited with Edward Dease, a seaman, on the voyage. Married John Leary in Sydney Cove in 1788.

LANGLEY, Jane

LAWRENCE, Mary (aka Mary Ann Hoffman) - 1750-1804 Sydney. Convicted in 1784 at the Old Bailey of theft of silver spoon and tongs from her employer. Married John Lawrence in England. Married William Worsdell in 1788 in Sydney. William arrived as a convict on the Charlotte.

LEE, Elizabeth - Convicted at the Old Bailey in 1785 of theft of 51 gallons of wine and other goods.  Left for Bengal in 1793.

LEONARD, Elizabeth (alias Kelly, Leonell, Kellyhorn) - 1753-1807 Hobart. Convicted in 1784 at the Old Bailey of robbery with violence.  Married John Callaghan in 1788 in Sydney Cove. John arrived on the Scarborough as a convict. Cohabited with John Curran.

LEVY, Amelia - Convicted in 1787 at Southwark of theft of handkerchiefs. Married William Knight on Norfolk Island in 1791.

LEWIS, Sophia - 1758-1816 Cockle Bay. Convicted at the Old Bailey in 1786 theft of money. Married James Walbourne, a convict on the Scarborough,  in 1788 in Port Jackson.  In 1800, on Norfolk Island, James was charged with assaulting Sophia.  They were ordered to live apart. James left the colony in 1814, for Ceylon, along with their son William. Their son James remained with Sophia. Sophia committed suicide in 1816.

LOCK, Elizabeth - Convicted at Gloucester in 1783 of two counts break, enter and steal. Married Richard Morgan in 1788 at Port Jackson. Richard arrived on the Alexander as a convict.  Cohabited on Norfolk Island with Thomas Sculley, who arrived on the Sirius as a member of the Royal Marines.

LOVE, Mary - b1726 Kent. Convicted at Maidstone in 1785 for theft of a lamb. Returned to England in 1797.

MARSHALL, Mary - 1764-1820 Tasmania. Convicted at the Old Bailey in 1787 of steal ten handkerchiefs.

MARTIN, Ann - Convicted in Surrey in 1787 of stealing silk handkerchiefs. Partner: Richard Phillimore, a convict on the Scarborough.

McCABE, Eleanor - 1764-1793 drowned at Breakfast Point. Convicted at the Old Bailey in 1785 of assault and robbery.  Married Charles William in 1788 at Port Jackson.Charles arrived as a convict on the Scarborough.

MITCHELL, Mary - Convicted at Kingston Upon Thames in 1785 of stealing. Cohabited with John Poulden, Royal Marine on the Charlotte. Child John born 1790.

MORTON/MOULTON, Mary Ann - Convicted at the Old Bailey in 1785 of theft of 17 handkerchiefs. Cohabited with Zachariah Clark, a contractors 'agent on the Alexander. A Joshua Moulton with mother Mary was born in 1788.??

MULLENS, Hannah - Born in Ireland. Cohabited with Edward Mullens in Engand, before her conviction. Convicted at the Old Bailey in 1786 of intent to deceive. Married Charles Peat in 1788 at Port Jackson. Charles was a convict on the Scarborough. Children: Charles b1789, Nancy b1791, Mary 1792, George 1794, William 1799. Cohabited with Abraham Gordon.

NEEDHAM, Elizabeth (nee Gore) - 1762-1825 England. Occ: Needleworker. Married Henry Needham in 1782 in London. Convicted in 1786 at the Old Bailey of stealing 2 pair of stockings.  Married William Snaleham in 1788 at Sydney Cove. William was a convict on the Scarborough. Child Mary Snaleham (Snailham) b 1797. In 1800 Elizabeth returned to England with John Driver. They were given permission to return to the colony as free settlers. Elizabeth Married John in England in 1800. Children: Richard 1803, Charles 1805, Married Henry Marr 1810 St Phillips Sydney.

NORTH, Phoebe - 1756-1820 Prospect. Convicted in 1786 at the Old Bailey of theft. Married William Parish in 1788 at Port Jackson. William arrived on the Alexander as a convict.

OSBORNE(JONES), Elizabeth - Convicted at the Old Bailey in 1786 of stealing a purse. Married Thomas Orford in 1788 at Port Jackson. Thomas arrived as a convict on the Alexander.

PARKER, Mary - 1761-1824 Kissing Point. Convicted at the Old Bailey in 1786 of theft of clothing. Married John Small in 1788 at Sydney Cove. John arrived on the Charlotte as a convict. Children(christened): Rebecca 1789, Mary 1791, William 1796, Thomas 1799, John 1804, Samuel 1804, Sarah 1804. Mary accidently drowned in a water hole near her home.

PILES, Mary - b1766 Kent. Nicknames the Female Highwayman. Convicted in 1785 at the Old Bailey of theft of money. Cohabited with John Chew, a member of the Royal marines who arrived on the Charlotte. Child -  John b1789. Married Ottiwell Ingle in 1788. Ottiwell was a convict on the Alexander. Cohabited with William Browning, a Royal Marine who arrived on the Friendship. Child: Francis b1794. Cohabited with William Edwards.

POWELL, Ann - 1751-1818 Windsor. Convicted at the Old Bailey in 1786 of stealing clothing. Cohabited with Peter White who  arrived as a sailmaker, with the Royal Navy, on the Sirius.  Children: Peter b1791, William b1793. Cohabited with William Goodall, who arrived on the  Scarborough as a member of the Royal Marines.

READ, Ann - Convicted at the Old Bailey in 1785 of assault and steal of the King's Highway.

ROSSON/RAWSON, Isabella - Convicted in 1787 at the Old Bailey of theft of 4 curtains from her employer. Cohabited with Joseph Abbott, a member of the Royal Marines who arrived on the Scarborough. Married William Richardson in 1789 at Port Jackson. William arrived as a convict on the Alexander. Children: Joseph 1794, Isabella 1805. William and Isabella returned to England.

SANDLIN/PATTEN (nee Lyne), Ann - 1754 London -1809 Sydney. Parents: Elizabeth and Robert. Occ: Needleworker. Convicted in 1786 at the Old Bailey of steal, embezzle and purloin. Cohabited with Richard Floan, a seaman on the Alexander. Their child Richard died at sea. Cohabited with John Winter, seaman on the Alexander. Married William Baker in 1795 at St Phillips. Children: Mary A, William and Joseph. ??

SLATER, Sarah - Occ: Watch chain maker. Convicted at the Old Bailey in 1784 of theft of a silk cloak.

SMITH, Ann- 1756-1788 Absconded into the bush at Rose Bay, after landing. Convicted at the Old Bailey in 1786 of theft of a pewter pot.

SMITH, Catherine - 1752-1835 Richmond. Convicted at the Old Bailey in 1787 of theft of a watch. Married Elias Bishop in 1794 on Norfolk Island. Elias arrived as a member of the Royal Marines on the Alexander. Settled at Richmond.

SMITH, Mary - 1761-1792 Norfolk Island. Convicted at the Old Bailey in 1786 of theft of a pair of leather boots. Married James Sheers in 1788 at Sydney Cove. James arrived on the Scarborough as a convict. Mary and James separated before 1791.

SPRINGHAM, Mary - 1768 Shoreditch, London - 1798 Norfolk Island. Parents: Robert and Mary. Child William Springham b1790. Convicted in 1786 at the Old Bailey of theft of money. Cohabited with William Hambley, who was ship's carpenter on the Sirius. Mary and William went to Norfolk Island.

SPRINGMORE, Charlotte - 1756-1822 Castlereagh. Occ: Silk winder. Convicted in 1785 at the Old Bailey of throwing acid over a woman.  In 1788, at Sydney Cove, married William Gloster, who arrived as a convict on the Alexander. Daughter Mary b1788. Cohabited with Samuel Witney.

THORNTON, Ann - Convicted in 1786 at the Old Bailey of theft of clothing. Sent to Norfolk Island.

TRIPPETT, Susannah - Convicted in 1786 at the Old Bailey of theft of a key and watch. Cohabited with James Richardson who arrived as a convict on the Alexander. Returned to England with James.

TURNER (alias Wilks), Mary - 1765 Worcester - 1808 Sydney. Convicted in 1785 at Worcester of theft of clothing. Cohabited with David Batty.  Children: David 1794, Richard 1797, Ann B W 1800 - married Thomas Hoskisson in 1820, Thomas W 1802.

TWYFIELD, Ann - Convicted in 1784 at Shrewsbury for assault and robbery on the King's highway. Cohabited with William Dawley, who was tried for the same crime.

WADE (alias Cochran), Mary - 1756 -1 818 Sydney. Convicted at the Old Bailey in 1786 of stealing 63 yards of calico. Married George Atkinson, a convict on the Scarborough,  in 1791, on Norfolk Island. Child: Edward Wade 1803.

WARD, Ann - 1766-1804 Parramatta. Convicted at the Old Bailey in 1786 of stealing a fur muff. Married William Tyrell in 1788 at Port Jackson. William arrived on the Alexander as a convict. Ann maybe aka Sutherland, as births for William and Mary Tyrell registered, father William mother Ann (Sutherland)???

WILLIAMS (aka Bowes), Mary - 1740-1801 Sydney. Convicted at the Old Bailey in 1786 of stealing clothing. Married William Whiting in 1790 in Sydney. William arrived on the Alexander as a convict.

WOOD (aka Brand), Lucy - 1753-1820 Hobart. Convicted at the Old Bailey in 1786 of stealing 3 guineas and a gold ring. Married Charles Repeat in 1788 at Port Jackson. Charles arrived as a convict on the Alexander. Sophia Wood birth registered 1804.?Married Robert Laurence in 1817 in Hobart.

WRIGHT, Ann - 1753-1787 on board ship. Convicted at the Old Bailey in 1784 of stealing clothing, medals and coins.

YEATS/YATES, Nancy(aka Ann) - Convicted at York in 1785 of breaking into a house and stealing 36 yards of printed cotton. Joseph S Yates b 1788?? Cohabited with Joseph Theakston who arrived on as a seaman on the Lady Penrhyn. Cohabited with David Collins who arrived on the Sirius. He was Captain of Marines and Judge Advocate. Children: Marianne L 1790, George R 1794.  Married James John Grant in 1800 in Sydney. Returned to England with David on the Britannia. Nancy and her children returned to NSW in 1802.
